Future of Holland Gardens

On Monday, January 14, 2019, the Jersey City Housing Authority’s Board of Commissioners approved a resolution directing the JCHA to explore and evaluate potential strategies for the revitalization of Holland Gardens and to commission Kitchens & Associates, a multi-disciplinary design firm with significant experience working with public housing authorities, to develop a comprehensive project vision that actively engages Holland Gardens residents, is responsive to their housing needs and incorporates resident input.

This visioning process will take approximately four to six months, and will include multiple, interactive meetings with Holland Gardens residents to identify a common set of goals and produce a shared vision to guide revitalization of the property. Most importantly, the success of this process will be dependent on maximum participation from Holland Gardens residents. We very much look forward to working with you and Holland Gardens residents on this important initiative.

This website will serve as a space to post up to date information about the Holland Gardens Visioning process and community meetings.


All Visioning Sessions will be held at the Holland Gardens Community center at 6pm. Sessions will be livestreamed to the Facebook Page and posted to the JCHA youtube account.
